WYP Kes @ Interplay Theatre

As a Community Ambassador, Interplay Theatre will be hosting West Yorkshire Playhouses’ KES on 17th June 2016:

Billy Casper is just another one of those kids; living with his mother and a bully of a brother, Jud. He’s all alone, then he finds ‘Kes’. Stick legs. Big head. Pile of scruff.

Kestrels are the hardest birds to train, but not for Billy. He feeds her, cares for her and trains her. Together they are ready to fly. Billy has all he needs and all he wants, until he makes a fatal decision that changes things forever.

This adaptation of Barry Hines’ 1960s story explores the never-changing, true nature of friendship told right in the heart of your community.

This production will be accompanied by a performance from young people inspired by the themes of KES.
